The City of Leadville is applying for a U.S. EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant to remove asbestos from the Community Center (formerly the Convention Center) at 117 W 10th St. A public presentation will be held for the City Council on Monday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers, 800 Harrison Ave. Community members are encouraged to attend in person or via Google Meet at this link.

Information, including the draft grant application and the draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA), will be available here on the City website beginning January 13, 2026.
